Welcome to Alex's website! The purpose of this site is to keep everyone update with Alex's progress through life as well as the latest news on his little brother Joseph. The site still contains many of the same links as before and a new link to an account of Alex's early years (Alex's Story) for new visitors.

Whilst Alex's early years were difficult his remarkable tenacity and willingness to keep trying have been an inspiration to us. He has already exceeded the expectations of the medical team at Great Ormond Street Hospital (To whom we owe a great deal) as well as ours. He is now starting to talk, can run and climb with his friends and has shown a talent for dancing that surprised us all!

It's true that he will need further operations in order to maintain his health, however if he applies the same determination to recover from those as he has done so far then he will continue to amaze us all in the years to come

Children in particular can overcome incredible odds and Alex's story is a testament as to what can be achieved. We hope that this website will provide some comfort and inspiration for parents whose little child has more challenges than they they had hoped and expected. This is not the end, merely a different begininng to the adventure that is life.
